Garmin Mobile XT + Routable Cambodia Map

រៀបចំក្រោម: សម្ភារៈ

^ Like mentioned in the topic :-) I’ve now got Cambodia Map, this time routable, working with Garmin Mobile XT (installed long ago in my Nokia). The map isn’t very pretty, the route calculation isn’t very exact. However, I didn’t try it in Phnom Penh yet… I hope it will be better for Phnom Penh map since it’s more detail there. By the way, I live and try it in Banteay Meanchey & Battambang, that’s why I don’t get accurated calculation.

Nokia Navigator

(sorry for blury pic since I took it with my laptop camera)

I’ve tried to use mine over here but there were only one night that I could, and now it kinda couldnt recieved the satalite signal or something. I’m not sure if it’s because of the phone or the satelite itself, anyway without the the gps is fine since i still got the map u installed for me the other day and i find it very useful, thanks a bunch bro!

No problem, it’s not a hard work… I just downloaded and copied to your phone… Don’t expect you could use it :D Hey the Nokia map software is not very good, I should have download Tomtom for you also.

Well, related to Nokia map, I suggest you disable the Network connection since you have the map already, and press 0 so it will start to use its gps radio, it is automatic for other gps software (Nokia map is not smart :-? ).

Okay, if you have anything else I could help, just name it. Have a nice day bro!

    Hi buddy,
Where’s this shop near the high school?
I’m getting the N82 at Sorya tomorrow, so want the same map my friend has on his N95 8Gb.
He says he got his map of Cambodia (Garmin) somewhere near the cinema on Monivong, but I can’t find it!
He paid $10 (and he’s Khmer!), so a 2000 riel version sounds better to me :-) .
    Thanks mate.

Since you have it installed, I assume that you have made your phone to use internal GPS and know how to use keygen.

Click the second link in my post to get the map file, and use the keygen to generate the key and put it and the map file to your phone. Please read the first link to get more idea.

i have no idea now.. i have intsalled garmin already and hmmm my device could not find the GPS device its self. and also i could not load the cambodia map that i have downloaded from here…any idea??

It’s because of the garmin program. If u don register it, it will switch on bluetooth and search for external gps receiver. But if u register it (use keygen), then you’ll be able to use internal gps (make a SW.UNL and put it in garmin folder). For the map, you should rename the cambodia map to “GMAPSUPP.IMG” and also use keygen to make code for this file “GMAPSUPP.UNL” and also put it in garmin folder.

    I hope that’ll work.

These Garmin XT maps of Cambodia are now available in phone shops around Psar Thmei (Central Market) and all the phone stalls on floor 3 of Sorya shopping centre for about a dollar!
I love Cambodia because there’s no copyright laws here - Ha Ha!
Now I’ve got to find somewhere that can install the same map that I have on my N82 onto my Garmin Etrex.
    Any ideas?
    Anyone?
